Steak and Ale has the best position on the Umhlanga "strip". It is raised just above the street and the restaurant is surrounded with glass over looking the hustle and bustle of the hospitable Chartwell Drive. Boasting a steakhouse style menu, meat is the order of the day. Our meat is aged and is 100% organic. Some of the favourites include the Steak and Ale Pie, Sirloin Rubbed in Pepper Corns, Spare Ribs, Blue Cheese and Peppadew Steak and the Jalapeño, Bacon and Avo Steak. We have two chef's running the grill and kitchen and have worked together many years. The head chef has been working in kitchens and steakhouses since 1982. There is a bar offering ice cold beer, a bar snack menu and an HD television. T.V's can be viewed from all seated areas and sport is always the primary reason for festivities.
