Following their extensive experience in the wine and agricultural industry in South Africa, two old university friends Neels Barnardt and John Boyes collaborated to form the Barnardt Boyes company.
John Boyes then approached his sister, Carrol Boyes, the well-known South African designer, to create a unique range of premier wine.
