Charles and Lee Morte, a husband and wife team, took over Bem Bom in October 2010 and after upgrading the Bedfordview and Comaro stores, demonstrated their dedication and long-term commitment to the Bem Bom brand and its loyal customers.It is their passion to expose South Africans to a unique and interesting side of Portuguese culture and, to this end, have created an environment where you can sit down and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, freshly prepared pastries and savoury delights or an authentic Portuguese meal in a relaxed and friendly environment.Our unique brand name originates from the combination of two Portuguese words bem and bom both meaning good or nice. When combined they translate into the word awesome.No shortcuts have been taken in our efforts to make sure we live up to our name, from the meticulous preparation of our authentic products, both taste and appearance, to the style and décor of our expertly designed stores.
